The Blurryface Tour was a worldwide concert tour by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots. It showcased material from their fourth studio album, Blurryface. Full production began on May 11, 2015 in Glasgow, and ended early on November 13, 2015 due to the November 2015 Paris attacks.[1] Several dates in the November 2015 leg of the tour were cancelled as a result of the tragedy[2], but the tour resumed in February 2016, completeing the final four months planned. On November 15, 2015, Tyler Joseph made a post on his Twitter account explaining the situation and reasoning behind cancelling the dates.[3]

I love concerts.

When I heard about what happened in Paris, I didn't know what to think at first. Then it started sinking in.

It hurt.

Not only were lives taken by senseless acts of violence, but the tragic event hit close.

We had just been there the day before; me, Josh, our crew, my wife, playing a concert.

I keep thinking, "It could have been our show. It could have been our lighting and sound guy. It could have been our pit of fans."

Could I ever continue after that?

We have three more shows left on this European run (Hamburg, Cologne, Munich) and because I can't justify the risk, will will regrettable have to cancel them. I hate it, but it needs to happen.

The war between peace and fear is a long one, with many battles along the way. Is cancelling a show letting fear win? Letting them win? Maybe.

But we will be back in February, fearless, with out biggest European tour yet.

Peace will win and fear will lose.

I will be praying for Paris and those directly impacted, and I truly hope that concerts don't change after this. Let's not let that happen.

I love concerts.

Echosmith and Finish Ticket opened for the North American leg of this tour.[4]

The tour featured 7 legs over its twelve month duration with a total of 98 shows in every populated continent except Africa.
